READING REPORTS

A useful report
shows its working evidence.

Start with the scope. Then read the observations, interpretations, and test ideas separately.

Read the scope first

Confirm the advertiser Pages, markets, requested time period, available observation dates, media types, and record sample. A report about ten observed days cannot honestly describe fourteen fully covered days.

Check the evidence

A material observation should identify the record that supports it. Open the source context and available creative. Missing media, partial text, or an unavailable source reduces how much can be concluded.

Treat labels as interpretations

“Convenience-led,” “comparison hook,” or “minimal product layout” are analytic labels. They can help organize research but may be subjective or inaccurate. They are not necessarily categories supplied by Meta or the advertiser.

Interpret change carefully

A newly collected record may be old in the market. More records may be additional variants rather than a new strategy. A longer observation history does not reveal spend or revenue. Reports should identify these alternative explanations.

Use test ideas as hypotheses

A recommendation proposes an original direction. Adapt it to your product, audience, available evidence, and legal review. Define your own success measure and test design before making a performance claim.

Request a better-scoped report

Ask a question with a Page set, market, and observation window. For example: “Compare offer framing in the available static records for these five Pages during the last 30 observed days. Identify coverage gaps and cite examples.” Report scope and sampling must be displayed before generation.

Check the credit rule

A completed on-demand report consumes one proposed monthly report credit. Failed generation does not. Weekly digests are separate. Regenerating a report as a new analysis uses a new credit after a clear confirmation.
