The unit of coverage
Coverage is recorded for each Meta advertiser Page, market context, and requested period. A broad brand label must not hide gaps in one country or silently combine unrelated Pages.
Four distinct states
Checked for this scope: the configured collection pass finished for the stated scope. It does not prove every ad ever published was available from the source.
Partial: some relevant records were obtained, but the requested pass or period was not fully covered.
Pending: a first check or scheduled update has not completed.
Unavailable or failed: a check could not produce a reliable result. This is not evidence that the advertiser had no ads.
What timestamps mean
Source-reported start: a start date supplied by the source, when available. First observed: when Ad8 first collected the record. Last observed: when it was last seen. Last checked: when the relevant collection attempt last ran. These dates answer different questions.
No new observations is a limited statement
“No newly observed ads in the latest completed check” is not equivalent to “the brand stopped advertising.” A failed or partial check must never be reported as a clean zero. Historical absence requires evidence, not an empty result set.
History and media vary
A requested 90-day period may have only 45 days of available observations. The remaining period must be labeled according to the evidence: unresolved, unavailable, or genuinely checked without relevant records. Media can be unavailable independently of metadata. A retained record is not a guarantee of a permanently playable asset.
Counts need a denominator
Collected records, currently accessible media, exact duplicates, and AI-grouped concepts are separate counts. Search pagination and report sampling can also change the displayed denominator. Every comparison should disclose which set it describes.
Observed facts versus AI labels
Available copy, Page identifiers, source fields, and observation times are record data. Hook categories, visual styles, creative similarity, and strategic interpretations are AI-assisted labels that may be wrong. Important decisions deserve record-level review.
What we do not infer
Ad8 does not turn public creative records into verified competitor spend, ROAS, conversions, profitability, complete targeting, or causal explanations. A country check describes the collection context; it is not a full account of the advertiser’s audience.
Corrections and removal
Report incorrect Page matching, misleading labels, missing source context, or a rights concern through the contact and content-removal workflows. A public-source reference does not itself establish permission to collect, store, redistribute, or reuse material.
