A review the next person can run
Hold the scope steady, write short notes with the evidence attached, and let whoever reviews next start from your reasoning.
Competitor reviews restart whenever the owner changes
In many in-house teams the competitor review belongs to whoever has time that week: a thread of screenshots, a slide before a planning meeting, a few strong opinions. When that person moves on or goes on leave, the thread stays but the reasoning goes, and the next review starts from nothing.
Even when the owner stays the same, marketers from brand, performance and product read the same ad differently, and without a written note each leaves the meeting with a different story. A repeatable review needs two things: the same scope every cycle, and a short note recording the question, the evidence and the decision. Ad8 supplies the observation side, followed Pages with check times and coverage labels. The note, and the habit of writing it, are yours.
One owner per cycle, one note per review
Rotate the job if you like, but make it explicit, and keep the steps the same each time.
The digest and the followed Pages show what changed. Only the note tells the next person why it mattered.
Name the owner and the rhythm. Decide who runs this cycle and when the next one falls, before anyone opens a tab.
Hold the scope steady. Use the same followed Pages and markets each time. If you change them, write down what changed and why.
Start with what is new. Read the weekly digest, which summarizes available observations rather than rechecking every Page, or ask a compatible AI client to retrieve recent changes through MCP. Then check each followed Page’s last-checked time, and set aside anything partial.
Ask one question. Offers, messages or an upcoming launch: pick one for the cycle and let the others wait. A review that tries to answer everything gives the next owner nothing to continue from.
Write the note. Record the question, three observations with record references, a competing explanation, the decision, and what to look at next.
A fictional team handoff
An imaginary outdoor-gear company has a brand manager, a performance marketer and a designer. This cycle the performance marketer owns the review. Last month’s note flagged bundle offers on followed Pages and left one question open: one-off or trend?
She opens the followed Pages, finds new records, and sees that one Page’s latest check was partial, which she logs as unresolved rather than as a pause in advertising. The note names one test brief, assigns it to the designer, and sets the next review date.
Results will be measured in the company’s own tools, not in Ad8. The next owner starts from the note, not from a screenshot thread.

Starts from the noteThe deliverable: a one-page review note
Question, scope line, observations with record references, a competing explanation, the decision, the owner and what to check next cycle. Keep it in the team’s own documents, where everyone can read it. Read in order, the notes also show a new hire how the scope and the thinking changed. Before handing over, confirm the scope line, each Page’s last-checked time, the open questions and who owns the next review. The weekly review template carries the seven steps behind it, and the brief template turns a decision into a test.
Transformez la revue en briefWhat one workspace means for a team
The proposed Core plan is one user and one workspace. It does not include team seats, and a login should never be shared, so the note is where the team’s memory lives. Research does not require access to your ad accounts, and Ad8 does not measure your tests or show private competitor performance. If you need more than one user, describe your setup; additional users are not part of the proposed plan.
